All Department of Finance publications are provided in electronic format on the Department’s Internet Web site at www.fin.gc.ca.

Department of Finance Publications are provided on the terms and conditions set out in this licence agreement.

The Department of Finance ("the Licensor") hereby grants to the Licensee a non-exclusive right to use one copy of the Publications on a single terminal connected to a single computer. The Licensee must not network the data obtained on-line from the Internet or the data contained thereon.

The Licensee must reproduce and include the Licensor's proprietary legends including, where applicable, notices with respect to copyrights and confidentiality on any copy made. The Licensee may also copy the data obtained from the Internet in any machine readable form for back-up purposes, or onto a hard disk in support of his or her use of the data obtained from the Internet on the designated computer terminals.

The Licensee must not use, copy or transfer the data obtained from the Internet, in whole or in part, except as expressly provided for in this agreement or as may be otherwise agreed by the Licensor and Licensee. The Licensee must not reproduce all or substantially all of the Publications in developing documents for distribution or sale to end-users unless otherwise agreed by the Licensor and Licensee. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Licensee may reproduce extracts of the Publications with respect to any fair dealing with the Publications for the purposes of private study or research, criticism, review or newspaper summary. The Licensee must not otherwise reproduce or republish the Publications, copy the data obtained from the Internet, transfer possession of the Publications to any other party, sublicence the Publications, or assign its licence without receiving the prior written approval of the Licensor. The Publications are protected by copyright. The Licensee does not become the owner of the Publications but is entitled only to use same in accordance with the terms of this agreement.

The Licensee acknowledges that neither the Licensor nor its employees or agents make any warranties or representations of any kind with respect to the Publications, the use, design or performance thereof, whether expressed or implied, statutory or otherwise arising from law or from a source of dealing or usage in trade, including but not limited to implied warranties or conditions of merchantable quality or fitness for the particular purpose of the Licensee, or that the contents of the Publications are identical to the original publication from which the data was obtained.

Accessing the Publications on-line from the Internet constitutes your acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
