Canada will host a meeting of G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Iqaluit, Nunavut, on February 5-6, 2010. The meeting will commence with a working dinner on Friday and conclude with a joint press conference for G7 Finance Ministers in the early afternoon on Saturday.
Media representatives planning to cover these meetings must be registered, accredited and hold a valid G7 media identification badge to have access to the facilities.
Accreditation is open to all bona fide news organizations. Freelance media representatives must be sponsored by a recognized news organization and attach a letter of assignment to the accreditation form.

Accreditation confirmation will be issued only after a security screening performed by the Canadian government competent authorities and confirmed by national governments. ID badges will be available for collection beginning on Thursday, February 4, 2010 on at the Frobisher Inn, Astro Hill Terrace, Iqaluit, Nunavut, from 09:00 until 19:00.
A media centre will be made available to all accredited media in the Baffin Room and Kivalliq Room at the Frobisher Inn. The Canadian media relations office will be set up in the Kitikmeot Room.

Please be aware that workspaces are limited. The G7 Secretariat will try to accommodate as many news organizations as possible. It should be noted that completion of the registration form is not a guarantee of accreditation or allocation of space in the Media Centre.
The media centre will be equipped with a limited number of data lines and power outlets for laptops. A limited number of telephones and a fax machine will also be available.

Iqaluit is subject to extremely cold temperatures. Media representatives should ensure they obtain adequate winter wear prior to arrival.
