Document Formats

HTML

All budget documents are available in HTML (HyperText Markup Language) format, the main format used on the Internet. Consult the The No-Fuss Approach page for details.

All Budget documents in HTML are also available on the Finance Canada FTP site as a single self-extracting archive (budget04e.exe -- English and budget04f.exe -- French).

Adobe Acrobat

To see budget documents just as they appear on paper, consult the Just Like the Paper Documents, for information on the Adobe Acrobat format.

Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) Format. A version of Budget 2004 has been prepared in a format that will display properly when downloaded from the Finance Web site to a PDA.

Multimedia Formats

To enjoy the Budget 2004 multimedia features, you will need to download and install the appropriate players. Consult the Beyond the Printed Word page, for details on the software needed to view the Tax Calculator, video clips and other interactive components.
