Document Formats

HTML

All budget documents are available in HTML (HyperText Markup Language) format, the lingua franca of the Internet. Consult the Budget 2001 Info Options page, The No-Fuss Approach, for details.

All Budget documents in HTML are also available on the Finance Canada FTP site as a single self-extracting archive (budget2000e.exe -- English and budget2000f.exe -- French).

Adobe Acrobat

To see budget documents just as they appear on paper, consult the Budget 2000 Info Options page, Just Like the Paper Documents Please, for information on the Adobe Acrobat format.

Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) Format. A version of Budget 2001 has been prepared in a format that will display properly when downloaded from the Finance Web site to a PDA.

Multimedia Formats

To enjoy the budget 2000 multimedia features, you will need to download and install the appropriate players. Consult the Budget 2000 Info Options page, Beyond the Printed Word, for details on the software needed to view the Tax Calculator, video clips and other interactive components.
