Automotive Sector

On April 7, 2009, the Government announced that it will provide an additional CAD 700 million of Accounts Receivable Insurance (ARI) to any Canadian-based direct supplier to General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company and Chrysler LLC and/or their affiliates. EDC will act as the Government's agent in administering this $700 million. This is in addition to approximately $500 million in ARI support EDC has provided to the sector through its corporate account.
