Centre Professionnel Le Bergerac

BDC provided $2.075 million for the construction of a new dental and health care professional centre - Centre Professionnel Le Bergerac, in Fabreville, Québec.

Another lender had been approached to finance the construction of this centre. Although the borrower was a long-time client, the lender was not in a position to help, given its lending criteria in the current economic climate. Nevertheless, the lender did not want to lose the client, and referred them to BDC. Working together, BDC and the lender found a solution: BDC provided $2 million toward the building construction, while the other lender provided $300,000 toward equipment and facilities for the dental clinic.

By collaborating in this way, BDC and the other lender were able help this entrepreneur carry out its business project.
