National consultations on federally regulated private pension plans were launched in Ottawa on March 13, 2009. Through these consultations, chaired by Ted Menzies, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance, the Government wants to hear people's views on how we can strengthen the security of pension plan benefits and ensure that the legislative and regulatory framework of these plans is balanced and appropriate.
